Hi Lorraine, I just wanted to let you know how delighted I was with Sophie's party on Saturday. It was perfect! Best of all, apart from the beautiful surroundings and venue, the great facilities (the water slide was such a hit) and the gorgeous food (legendary quiches and the best scones ever) was the fact that your staff were so friendly, helpful and professional. I did not lift a finger or worry about a thing, except having a great time. They even knew when to bring out the cake (which I'd practically forgotten about). When it was time to set up for the next party, we were politely moved to a lovely table that had been set up for us under the trees. Please send you manager my compliments and my sincere thanks. Hi Lorraine I wanted to say thank you for the excellent service yesterday for Adam's first birthday party. The venue was fantastic and the service outstanding. Everyone commented on how great the food was. The staff were really helpful and went the extra mile. The kids had an absolute ball on the waterslide - we couldn't get them off. Thank you soo much Lorraine for a wonderful afternoon, for hosting Georgie's party. Your recommended set-up of the tables with polka dot wine coolers and wine and matching napkins flowers - what an awesome sight to arrive and find everything laid out. Frank and co were magnificent with service - personally to everyone - the savoury tarts delicious plus Cheesecake with bar-one plus nachos served halfway through the event were only some of what we sampled! All in all it was difficult to fault Wish you well with future events and will be back in May for next party but definately before!

We had a table on Saturday night for the Halloween function and my family and I had the most amazing time.  it was our 1st time with you but I am pleased to say it will not be  the last, Spur has been our venue of choice for the past 5/6 years but only because it's one of the few kid friendly restaurants in JHB (that i knew of).  However I think it will be a long time before they see us again since we have now found you.  I'm looking forward to many visits in the future with my family. Thanks for the outstanding time we had, my boys were in 7th heaven running around chasing the rabbits and just getting mucky and dirty. We actually had so much fun we came back for the craft market on Sunday morning with our labbie but unfortunately he did not take to the dog next to the only open table at the time so we had to leave but I look forward to coming back and sampling the lovely looking breakfasts I got an eyeball full of on Sunday. Thanks so much again

Dear Lorraine A huge thank you for making Cameron's party such a success! Everybody was very complimentary about the beautiful table setting, the gazebo, the setting for the children to play in and the food. Just wanted to let you know what super times I have at River Cafe with my two grandsons. There is always so much going on - the water slide is a big favourite as it the giant sandpit. I love the coffee and the salads - so fresh. Super place to relax with friends too - in fact I'll be celebrating my 60th with you next month! wanted to thank you so much for making Nicola’s hen party so special & memorable!! You really put so much care and effort into it, it was as if she was your friend that you were preparing for – it really meant so much to me. Everything was laid out so nicely and your staff were so accommodating and of course the food was lovely!! Nice fruit platters with a really good variety, not just melon ;) as some places do. The cupcakes were divine and I think my niece ate about 3 of them! EVERYONE enjoyed it so much and said they would definitely be coming back to your place soon.
